Why Jerry O’Connell Isn’t Going Back To Law School
School is hard. Really hard. No one knows that more than former law school student Jerry O’Connell. And with his new starring role on CBS’ The Defenders, he’s putting away the law books indefinitely.
“I had to defer. I don’t want to say “drop out,” but there’s no way I can do both. I could barely do law school on its own,” admitted the star during his new series’ panel at the Television Critics Association press tour in L.A.
Along with the work , “It was more reading than I think anyone should ever have to do or ever have to do. It was really difficult,” said Jerry, who feels the double schedule has pretty much messed up everything else in his life.
“It would be unfair to my education, to everyone here and mostly my children, but what a great experience,” said the actor, who’s dad to 19-month-old twins Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip with wife Rebecca Romijn.
But even one year of night school can be beneficial when you’re playing a defense attorney working the Las Vegas strip.
“It was a school called Southwestern. I have to admit, it’s been invaluable, having gone to law school and then getting onto this project.”
Now there’s an actor who really does his homework for a role.
