Worst American Idols

Thanks to the volunteers who already contacted me about the Live Cellcasts we are doing on Rickey TV for the American Idols Live! 2009 Tour. If you are interested in being a cellcaster for your concert, please contact me at rickey at rickey dot org.

For those not familiar with this, last year we had volunteers who acted as “reporters” for my webcam show Rickey TV. They gave me a call on their cellphones during the concerts and we listened in on our favorite Idols. It was like being in the concert except with occasionally garbled sound — and thus our name: “The Best Worst Show Ever”. It may have sounded awful at times but it was still lots of fun. We had at least 200 people every night, sometimes 800+, and it was truly a community experience.

This year, we will supplement this experience with Twitter if we can.

I have the first two shows ready with volunteers, but for the early shows we need someone for:

July 8 – Vancouver, BC
July 10 – Sacramento, CA
July 12 – San Jose, CA

Please spread the word! We still need volunteers for late July, August and September.

Aimee our cellcaster has promised to scream for Adam Lambert (hopefully not too much so we can still hear him) – and in exchange I asked her to scream for Anoop Desai, Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen for me.
